It automatically detects the source language and generates natural-sounding output that preserves the speaker's intonation, pacing, and pitch, generating speech continuously and staying just a few seconds behind the speaker. It is designed for multilingual conversations in meetings, video calls, broadcasts, and lessons, handling noisy and multilingual inputs gracefully. Developers configure the target language on session.start using a BCP-47 language code. The model is offered in public preview through Google AI Studio and the Live API, with an enterprise preview in Google Meet and consumer access through the Google Translate app on Android and iOS.
