Devstral Small 24B

Devstral Small 2 is the 24B-parameter companion to Devstral 2, released in December 2025 as a smaller, locally deployable variant that scores 68.0% on SWE-bench Verified. Its compact size makes it well suited to single-GPU or even CPU-only setups, enabling private, on-device code automation with tight feedback loops. The model supports image inputs, so it can power multimodal agents, and it is available open-source under the Apache 2.0 license. With a 128k token context window, it keeps architectural awareness across sizeable codebases while staying small enough to run locally. Devstral Small 2 works with the Mistral Vibe CLI for natural-language code exploration and modification, letting teams run capable code agents on consumer hardware without depending on external services.
